
To be fair, I have to admit that this is not a picture of the fisherman, but of the cathedral group of the Grand Tetons in the background. The placid lake in the foreground was formed by damming the Snake River. This was done before environmental consciousness was a major factor.
Even with the lake, Jackson Hole is as fine a mountain valley as you will find. The Tetons rise 7000 feet above the valley floor, and pictures are everywhere. The first four times I was in Jackson Hole, I was disoriented by the wealth of picture possibilities. Maybe next time, I will get it right.
