It is the longest single span wooden bridge in the world. The bridge was laid down in 1855 by Nichols Powers of Pittsford Vermont. He devised bridge of three trusses on a modified panel plan, with huge pine timber posts, braces and counterbraces bolted together. The trusses are of long truss design which makes the bridge look more attractive with a feeling of making use of woods which is the nature’s gift from trees. Though the bridge is made up of single span wood but its tougher side makes it harder for the travelers with amazing wonders sides beside it.
