2 of 3 Rock Formations combine to off Point Buchan Trail (just south of Montana de Oro MdO) and north of the Diablo Nuclear Power Plant from the Los Osos side the Devonian Tabberabberan Deformation. The short of response of the Buchan Caves Limestone to contact metamorphism is attributed to prior heating to near 200°C and the fact that the dike intruded into cool, near surface, low-porosity rocks which have been located in the vadose zone. Certainly nature has made its glory of memorial location by having the formation of this rocks which contribute to the scenic beauty of the landscape.
