Fort Snelling, originally known as Fort St. Anthony is located at the confluence of Mississippi and Minnesota rivers. It is a beautiful fort located on the top of the river bluff. It is a wonderful image of an old beauty creation still standing intact preserving its charm and aggression at the same time. The place is quite an extraordinary setting with dense trees all around and there are fun activities also carried on at the fort such as birthday parties involving 1800s theme etc. This is an educational as well as fun trip.
