Fort Michilimackinac was built around 1715, located along the southern shore of Straits of Mackinac and connects the Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. It is a wonderful fort with water bodies in its surroundings. It was used by French, British, and Americans during Colonial times. It is a wonderful experience to explore the fort which is in the form of small huts with garden like exteriors boasting colorful experience and the lakes providing the heavenly setting.
